Meet Our Doctor
Located in the heart of Calgary's Victoria Park community, our chiropractor isn't limited to manipulations for your treatments. She also has a variety of techniques that she uses depending on your personal needs and concerns.
Activator tool: This device taps the joint or bony protrusion to realign it. This is the perfect method if you can't have, or are nervous about having, manipulations done.
Cupping: Plastic suction cups are used to help relieve areas of tension, they can be moved with a small amount of oil, or left to sit as stationary cups. Both methods help release tight muscles and fascia.
Diversified: These are the standard manual manipulation techniques that are taught in school and which most chiros use in clinical practice. It is a hands on, precise technique that helps with the realignment of bones and joints.
Medical Acupuncture: A modified type of acupuncture that focuses on trigger or motor points, to help with structural issues. Electro-acupuncture also helps with neurological issues.
Concussion Vestibular Rehabilitation: This method helps patients who have suffered concussions and are having issues with balance, concentration, vision, anxiety, mental fogginess, and dizziness.
Active Release Therapy: ART is movement based soft tissue therapy, which helps stretch areas in an active way. This is often incorporated into your treatments as a way to help the muscles, fascia, nerves, tendons, and ligaments.
Graston: This is an instrument assisted soft tissue therapy. It is similar to guasha, however, this primarily focuses on the muscle fibres. The theory is based on the idea that it helps realign the muscle fibres.
